take it back - I think it is a big deal on low miles 110 - slow but sure R380 in my old 90 is still smooth as it approaches 200k

Swap side to side

If the same lamp still flickers then it is the lamp

If the swapped over light flickers then it is an earth/wiring problem

No need for a grease nipple , I give mine an occasional squirt of motorcycle chain lubricant - the solvent ensures penetration and once dry it doesn't drip. Also works on wiper spindles.
 Not wanting to start :-(

X8R supplied my solenoid kit, quality appears good and has worked fine for 12,000 miles.

The starter motor itself was a reconditioned unit ...
