Scotland 2004 Defender 90 Td5 HT Zermatt Silver
TD5 Engine
Evening

So, still haven't resolved the alarm issue but now have bigger problems.

I will try and make this brief.

Landy was running fine until a week ago. I started to get vibration in the cab when hitting a certain RPM.

I thought it might have been a wheel bearing but no wobble in the wheel at all.

I then thought it was the front prop and maybe the UJs.

I took the prop off today and took it out for a drive. Yes, with diff lock on Smile

At first the engine seemed to run fine and acceleration was good. However when I hit 35mph the wobble was there, even worse now!

When trying to come up a hill there seemed to be a lack of power and it struggled!

Back home it would rev ok but as the revs reduced to idle there seemed to be a rattle, maybe.

So, bottom end or maybe a duff injector?

I have a nanocom, how do I use it to find out if a injector has gone.

If not, then that will be the end of the road as too expensive to replace the engine.

Help
