How was the new Pivi Pro system? It seems less laggy but a bit... small and narrow?

They are just starting to arrive here in California, my dealer is bugging me to get on the list to demo it. Still undecided if I want to go back to a side opening hatch, I'm so use to the Disco5 foot opening lazy tailgate now and I remember hating my '90's Isuzu Trooper's dual rear cargo doors by the time I got rid of it. To the point of design reductionism, look carefully at Gerry’s suits. They are classic English tailoring. Structured shoulders, waisted jacket, real-fasten cuffs (I guess). Hand made shirts. Reductionism? He wears it. Zandra Rhodes has more balls when it comes to design.

The interview linked above is not honest. The car is a function of engineering necessity (the alu construction process - just look at that exterior plaque on the C pillar of the 110) and economics. Someone (Gerry?) took the brand up into the premium, Premium, PREMIUM market. It owes more to Kahn, Revere, Overfinch than to LR as it was. I can afford to buy but I won’t. This chap has spun an image i won’t buy.

11 miles ~ that's how far he got in it before it threw a fault and went into restricted performance mode. Whistle

We got George and Bungle, I was waiting on zippy to turn up.

I’m afraid I would’ve drove it straight back to the dealer.

I'm kind of ambivalent about the New Defender, but each time I read an article that quotes Gerry, I go off it a bit more. "Desirative consequence". I can only assume he is now making up phrases deliberately to troll people.

Just read the article.....what a pompous ass.

..yup..only reason why he wouldn't apologize for crap design is because his head couldn't fit in to old one, hence size of new one .. car is literally frankestein made of disco remains, with defender badge, for no other reason but poor and misleading PR campaign..

I actually found him quite engaging, honest and straightforward. A far better source of info on the new model then most things seen to date.

He's done a few other interesting video, especially on parts:

Curious to know if this is not something that the dual SIM and SOTA can sort out remotely? Either triggered by the vehicle throwing a code and then sending data back to JLR or the dealer; or the owner ringing the dealer who can then access the car remotely?

This I am afraid is totally inexcusable and down right embarrassing.

With all the dribble from JLR and Jerry about durability ,
I feel ill after owning modern LR products .

The only thing reliable about Land Rover is there reputation.

Disgusting , the very reason there is the ineos
Grenadier.
