It's the Webasto Thermo Test software but I'm not 100% happy now so I'll hold off on the how-to Wink  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

There's an aftermarket 12V -> WBUS converter available on eBay for about £35 (cheaper than the Oval timer).

Could you post a link please Martin? Can't find it via the keywords I've tried Thumbs Up

I’ve never noticed the option, although I’ve never been looking for it to be honest. Thumbs Up

Which version do you use?

Depends on how long you plan to run it for? If you're thinking of running it constantly during the night as the outside temps are -20 outside, then i'd probably consider it.

If it's a back up to the standard heater and you're not going to run it for long periods ( think 5-6 hours ) without the engine running, then i reckon you'll be just fine Thumbs Up

It’s when I leave it in the feilds, so only for 30mins to 2hrs. I might try it for long sessions on the drive. So if it won’t fire the engine after at least I’m not stranded

You should be fine, but a test is a good idea Thumbs Up

The main draw is on fire up, once the unit hits temp ( about a minute ) then the power draw drops drastically.

Turning it on for a few minutes whilst the engine is running wouldn’t be a bad idea

It was an ideal Oc outside this morning so I thought it would be an excellent time to catch some data around coolant temperature with the Webasto only - Here is a 30 minute warm up with the Defender set to max fans and hot first thing this morning.

Thermotop C wired in series just before the heater Matrix, so naturally, the heater output seems to be good enough to defrost etc. within minutes.

Trying to sort out a remote for my Airtop ST2000, I spoke to several people and even a Webasto technitian. They all said that the T91 kit would work. I can confirm that it doesn't, I've tried all variations so I've pulled the T91 kit out and now sourcing another option.
I was under the impression that the Thermocall was only for newer models? Has anyone found a cheaper version of remote control? 110 D250 SE HT

Martin, I only have the rheostat to turn it on. Which means trudging down the garden to turn it on. Would rather just sit in bed and turn it on.
Don't have a telestart kit, The T91 is an RF unit from what I gather. Which is now surplus to requirements so will appear for sale very soon 110 D250 SE HT
