remove tank and parts delivery time in France
hello

I would like to know the time it takes to drop the tank on a 90 puma.

I have Censored in the tank I have changed the filters several times, emptied the filters each time I have like gelatin or black brown pieces in the diesel

the gelatin is at the fuel filter cap and the other time I had pine needles. it must come from the breather, the little one must be screwed up, I ordered the breather hose from land rover, I've been waiting for it for 1 month. they say it's the English who take a long time to deliver. Is there a problem with the supply of parts at land rover?

do they take me for a fool or what? I live in France

I can tell you it’s a tough job to drop it. You can but a replacement cradle from YRM, then cut out the old cradle. I could get mine out any other way.

I have a 2009 CSW. The breather pipe on my one was knackered.
I managed to get my fuel tank down enough to change it.
1. Drive it until the fuel light comes on.
2. Remove the fuel filler pipe - wedge some rag in the neck to stop debris falling in.
3. Remove the rear mudguards.
4. Remove the tank guard nuts that come into the Cross member. Then the 4 large bolts securing the tank guard to the chassis brackets.
5. Then using a large tyre lever and crow bar - I managed to force the tank guard forwards so that I could drop it down. Have wooden wedges available.
6. I could drop the tank down far enough to swap over the breather hose for a new one.

This whole lot took around 4 hours to remove. An hour to swap the pipe, then 4 hours to refit.

If you get a chance, prepare wash it all before, the mud and rubbish dropping down was a challenge.

I didn't take photos. Good luck. 2009 Defender 90 CSW 2.4 TDCI.
