England 2007 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Cairns Blue
I post this purely out of interest to others in this new vehicle, nothing to do with me.

I hope I'm not breaking any rules.

Interesting, and I wonder why. Is it in the hope of making some quick money, would be nice to know the original price paid, and what the hammer comes down at, that is if it makes its reserve price, what ever it might be. Please let the forum know what it goes for, should we miss it,

Thanks

This is nothing new

lt happens when a desirable vehicle is in short supply, or there's as long waiting list. Happened with the new Defender and the Suzuki Jimny (in fact still happening with the Suzuki)

ln fact there were so many "flippers" buying new Defenders that LR eventually made buyers sign an agreement not to sell for six months.

Lightning - the LR dealers are still demanding buyers sign that declaration but it’s 12 months at my local dealer. I refused to for my 90 delivered 2 months ago today as a cash buyer who has now purchased 15 Land Rover products mostly new from 2 dealers since 1996. Salesman went into a tailspin and had to have a discussion with his manager and the DP at that branch. I’m sure if that branch was still the solo franchise of the family who owned it I would not have had an issue but the dealership is part of a national chain and I was told I wouldn’t be able to order another new JLR product if I didn’t sign. I .et them stew for a couple of days before they checked my purchasing record and then relented and reduced it to 3 months! It was all to do with “due diligence” and their company ISO accreditation I was told! Total BS. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

It’s not enforceable, they can’t stop you doing what you want with your personal property regardless of what you have signed.

All they’d be able to do would be refuse to sell you another one, which is their prerogative, but I doubt they’d even do that. Depends how hard LR are on them about it I guess.

Not being allowed to buy another new Land Rover isn’t likely to be of consequence to me as I think I’ve just bought my last one. JLR is dragging out electrification and I expect that any EV Land Rover will simply price me out of ownership. If there is a new 4x4 coming to my drive it will be this

Tim,

That Munroe is Top.

Defo the new "old" defender.

No style just substance.

Good price as well.

Moo, that's not the car version its the commercial and hence the seats are 70mm further forward Thumbs Up Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free

Same same in the back on my commercial, with the seats forward 70/80mm compared to the two car options they offered Trail master and Field master.

That is also why the trims are with a gap forward of the wheels arches.

Not bad as a commercial vehicle goes I suppose as least a 5 seat option is offered unlike in the Defender sadly. Sad

STATION WAGON
The standard five-seat Grenadier Station Wagon is certified as a commercial vehicle and is fitted with a cargo barrier, to provide the optimum balance between payload and passenger carrying capability.

I imagine that there's a substantial difference in RFL between the commercial and non-commercial versions.

Just a thought Moo but have you adjusted the steering wheel as when my friend got his it was fully out and very close to his chest!

This might help you move the seat forwards giving slightly more leg room in the rear Thumbs Up Gas, Grass Or Ass - Nobody Rides For Free
