Does anyone now the output of the alternator in the new defender ?
I plan install a a small auxiliary LIFePO4 battery and the dc to dc i have can draw up to 40 amps.
Not sure if the alternator can take it, considering it has a lot of electronics to power. ...
So I would like to avoid killing the alternator and I can get a smaller DC to DC if need it. Defender P300 on order

Just had a reminder email from WBAC asking if I have checked the value of my 110 since they gave me a price last week….. it’s gone up by £2500 in a week! D240 First Edition with 11300 miles and some minor battle scars (scuffed front alloy) Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

I'm trading a Toyota Land Cruiser in for my new Defender and it too has gone up in value over the past couple of weeks, in fact it's not that far from what I paid for it new about 18 months ago. In Car Dealer magazine they mention the Suzuki Jimny, a One year old Suzuki Jimny trade price atm is £25,467 the original ticket was £17,846 new Shocked

This was on Facebook yesterday, looks like Farnells are trying to cash in on the shortage of V8's Confused

Just seen a 21 reg 90 Hard Top sell for £66850 with 2k+ miles sell. Mine's at the dealer waiting for delivery on 1st September, list of £52k'ish, wondering what it might sell for as my plans have changed since I ordered it in February.

Maybe a typo but £76k for a 90 D200 S Shocked Shocked

From its spec list all I see is tow pack, plastic arches and RAI. It’s not even on air.

You missed the sticker on the bonnet, that's why it seems expensive Wink Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I've just built a 90 D250 SE with the same options and it comes out at £57,889, if you could actually get one! So a second hand MY2021 D200S with 5.5K miles seems a bargain at £75,950 Shocked Rolling Eyes Cheers Ian

South Africa 2010 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White
https://www.carexpert.com.au/car-news/land...est-seller

Quote:
The new Land Rover Defender scooped up 16,725 retail sales around the globe during the three months to September 30, up 70 per cent year on year.

As such, the reborn retro icon became the company’s top-selling model overtaking the Range Rover Evoque, despite its role not being that of a conventional high-volume chart-topper.

The Defender was also the only Jaguar, Land Rover or Range Rover product to grow its sales over the quarter – a period in which JLR’s wholesales and retails both tumbled.

The smash sales success of Defender overseas echoes its take-up in Australia, where it has likewise become JLR’s top-selling model with 1495 YTD sales. ...

Seemingly a bit of good news there Naks, but I am sure someone is hard at work as we speak, to produce a chart with a bunch of funky red and blue lines that will show how such apparent sales success is yet again an unmitigated disaster from a historical, inflation-adjusted retail vs wholesale context, how targets are out of reach and trend is negative even accounting for the chip shortage, how the new Defender is savagely cannibalizing and kicking all its siblings - especially poor gorgeous assed Discovery - in the nuts while Jeep sold more Wranglers just yesterday afternoon at a single dealership in Nashville Tennessee than the Defender did worldwide during the latest quarter, and how, if you read that useless article backwards and between the lines, it's nothing but bad news yet again for the chronically disappointing, unreliable, underwhelming and underperforming new Defender, Land Rover and, in general, all of us morons who misguidedly bought into the hype and are driving one, thinking that we like it. 2020 NAS Defender 110 HSE 5-seater / Silver / Khaki / Black Pack / Black Roof / Satin Film / Cold Pack / Off-Road Pack / Advanced OR Pack / Comfort + Convenience Pack / Sirius + HD radio / HUD / Meridian Surround
