Continued trying to get the back of the 110 dry.
Are there supposed to be big panel gaps behind the C-post (back of the rear seat box where it meets with wheel arch)? These are both sides on mine so don’t want to fill if they are some kind of drainage, although definitely ‘inside’ the car. Noticed on a 30 mile motorway drive, engine temp normal but little or no heat out the vents

Check the coolant level first - mine did exactly the same and it was the first indication of a slow loss of coolant. Dave

Coolant about 10-15mm below the join in the header tank. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Bear in mind that coolant fluid level naturally tends to settle a little bit below the marker line.

Yep the plan is to top up and see what gives. Sunday I am planning on swapping thermostat if the heating does not improve 1999 Defender TD5 110

I was planning on replacing the thermostat on Sunday, but the job is now on hold as I spotted the intercooler pipe has been rubbing on the water pump to thermostat pipe. So I decided to replace this pipe as well (but need to order it) and waiting will save dropping the coolant twice. 1999 Defender TD5 110
