Fitted an alive tuning ultimate Intercooler, not a difficult job just a bit fiddly especially as I have air con. New pipes as well. Had to fit a spacer to the fixing at the bottom of the air con condenser just to give me enough room for the thicker Intercooler. Slightly cramped with it having the flat front with aircon, I think I’ll have a bit of a re work of it, move the condenser forward a bit and fit the longer nose.
Will go for a drive tomorrow to see what if any difference it makes. |

Yes but just savour that feeling of satisfaction…
…until you try and get the bushes out… |

Replaced rear prop shaft - the old prop shaft had a little bit of play at the diff end UJ but the UJ felt like it had a flat spot when wiggling the UJ
TC end UJ felt better but not 100% I did note the new prop only had one balance weight but the old one had about 3 of them Replaced front diff oil after 10k for some fresh stuff. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Barked my shins once to often. Removed the adjustable height tow hitch from my 110, nothing to tow at present (and only an evenings work to put it back) I was surprised how heavy it was. Will fit a couple of Jate rings for recovery jobs.

Went to Ty Croes race circuit for radio cover for a rally that was running at the circuit
Discovered my clutch fluid had gone (again) Scrounged some more and topped it up Nanocom thinks I was overheating on the drive home and coolant temp got to around 98c at times. ![]() Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Yesterday:
Drained and replaced gearbox oil Drained and replaced transfer case oil. Normally I use a 1 litre oil bottle with a tube and squeeze the oil into the each box. This time I purchased a 500ml syringe and used this to 'inject' the oil into each box. Made life a bit easier. I think a 1000ml one would make life easier/quicker Today. Replaced the knackered clutch slave cylinder with a new one - now hopefully I have a non-leaking slave cylinder. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Having fitted my solar panel the other week only to discover that my 60Ah AGM leisure battery (that probably wasn't really) was dead, recharging with sunlight to 13.6v or so by day and dropping to 10.02v or thereabouts every night new parts arrived so.......
Today the 60Ah battery and VSR came out and in went a Sterling Power DC-DC charger (with trickle back function) and a 100Ah LiFePo4 battery currently being charged up with solar and when the new fuses arrive tomorrow will be connected to the Sterling DC-DC so that it can charge when the Alternator is running but also trickle charge the main battery when the solar is running well and has more to offer than the LiFePo4 needs. Now on to prepping the new Galvanised rear door for painting with a view to getting that on over the weekend. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper. Well the bonnet was in a real state of lacquer wear so that has gone Raptor black as has the new back door on the outside.
The inside will go Raptor black tomorrow and then hopefully on tomorrow evening. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper. Wide Track Sankey- In bits- Gone to a new home M0XQS |

Minor rush of blood saw me eventually tackle the radius arm bushes. Usual bolt related drama but got them off. That’s when the fun began. Absolute epic and all
I have to show is one old bush out and a car lying in bits. Lovely way to spend a day off. ![]() Click image to enlarge |
