I like the stance! I would go for the black roof, as I think that will add that bit extra kick to the stance! or you could go full colour code. Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Absolutely! I always question a decision long after making a change Rolling Eyes
I think if it was to go any colour other than white it would be body coloured Thumbs Up

Don’t worry she won’t have a black roof, there are plenty of other things to sort out before I go painting bits! Have booked her in for a remap by empire tuning in April so I will update you all on the changes ! Cool

I have been looking at a few 90's with the body coloured roofs and the body coloured roof is the way to go if you don't want the white roof Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Quick little job today fitting the Allisport Egr delete kit, fantastic quality and relatively easy to fit, in fact it took longer to remove all the black soot and gunk from my hands Laughing

Fitted the synchro gearboxes slickshift Monday , easy task just took a little drive to sort the bias springs out but what a difference it has made ! Would highly recommend it. I got mine with the new turret too because mine had worn badly and I thought it would be sensible to replace it whilst working on that area.

Great that the slickshift went all ok when fitted Thumbs Up

Been studying the top pic above and had two thoughts Wink

A. Instead of painting the roof, leave it white and put a union jack on it Very Happy

B. Paint the rims white Very Happy

These are just my thoughts though Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Possible Warped exhaust manifold

I've been through a few manifolds on my Td5.. (it's remapped as well). In the end I took my spare one to a local engineering firm. Got it faced off and all the webbing milled out.

Touch wood, it's been fine so far. "some say" that if you use an old already warped manifold, then they don't tend to warp anymore...

time will tell, but so far, all quiet.

There's a guy on eBay that sells skimmed and de-webbed versions on an exchange basis, I used him a couple of years ago and had no problems since. From memory it was about £70 after you got the refund for posting your warped one to him.
