hi andrew funny you should say that only the other day i towed a trailer loaded with about2.5ton of wooden beams on it in low gears and high revs constantly because it towed a dream and yes it worked extremly hard doing so that was about a 100mile trip alone without towing the trailer to and from
iv probly done abotu 1000-1500 miles but i did put the tune straight back on the vehicle when i doen the mod so and iv been driving a bit like i stole it too to see what the out come is

i will say i had my problems to start with as i replaced the studs and the 2 in the mainfold worked there ways loose so refitted them with lock tight but origanlly i didnt want to do this
but since then iv had no problems i will cerntainly let the forum know if i do ?

I had a problem with one...
It's had a power upgrade and gets driven very hard, towing trailers all over the country.
I took off the turbo and machined both the flanges.
No problems since Cool

You can see above all the black where it had leaked on the exhaust flange...Interestingly there are no gaskets here Rolling Eyes

The damp patch at the lower flange is from 'spaner in a can' which helps reduce the risk of snapping bolts off.
Unfortunately, I can't cure this 90's problem with melting mudflaps when towing a caravan at 80mph Shocked Confused

I took my heat shield off just to look around. I don't think my manifold is warped as nothing is black but I do have to ask why is my turbo and manifold so rusty with so few miles on my truck (500). My truck sat for a long time before I bought it but is this normal?

It's made on cast iron, so it is normal!

Finally (after 3 months and 2 visits to the dealer) solved! Thumbs Up With nakatanenga improved gasket and new studs (2 of 3 were broken Exclamation ).

I paid € 70,00 at indipendent mechanics for the job.

Does anyone know if ford transit owners have same issue? Question

Looks straight forward. I want to do it myself. Not even sure I have a whistle but I still like the new gasket.
