Puma re map - very pleased
Just completed a re map via Bell Auto Services - Very easy and by far the best update to the car - drives superb - lots more torque coming in from 2-3k rpm, lightens the whole car, feels like no L/R I have ever driven.
Basically you call Pete at BAS - tell him what you need - pay £499 he sends you the box with leads - you download some software from him, box arrived next day via UPS plug it into PC run the programme, plug into car download map - e mail it to Pete - he has a cup of tea - tweaks the settings & e mails it back within an hour - save the file to the box - plug it into car and save the tuned file - Job Done !

I am rubbish with computers - this took about 10 mins to do and the car is brilliant.

Thanks Pete, certainly put a smile on my face.

Very unusual first post Urbanriot??? No introduction, no details of vehicle and at a time when some people such as myself (adimittedly Autologic) are experiencing a great deal of frustration and dificulties from remaps. There was also a myriad of remap threads on which to post it but then again it may not have been quite so noticeable. (Please excuse my suspicious nature)...Mmmmmm!

With so much adoration and adulation for Pete's product...

1. Maybe I should consider it further.

and

2. Maybe you should get a discount!!!!

Rolling with laughter

Welcome to the site by the way! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

urbanriot thank you for your kind words and welcome to the forum, im glad you are pleased with the outcome, For the record i think your first post was fantastic but then im bias i suppose Mr. Green

I do agree with Ken though, pics of your car and basic car info would be good. Its even harder for me as i cant put your username to a invoice name very easly so im not even 100% sure of your model type lol .

K9F, he could not have no more discount im afraid he already got the forum price as you see of 499 all in which will be changing very soon.

Pete i think what K9 is saying that for Forum members the price is £499 which is a good price for your product
and for none Forum members its £695... With urbanriot getting the same price as a Forum member ? and only having ever posted 1 post and it saying about your product getting the same discount as long term members ???
When at the time he purchased your product for the same price as a Forum member he was not a Forum member NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY

Shame he can't, fantastic advertisement for those of us that may have issues with other maps and perfect timing too! At the very least you should knock him up a medal for blowing so much sunshine up your crimper. He deserves it! Do Ken one as well!

As an afterthought I would imagine having bought such a fantastic product he wouldn't have sat on it for too long before itching to fit it and see the result.

I appreciate the questioning and queries made but if a person calls me and mentions any of the forums that Martin owns they get the 499 discounted price always,
I dont care about post count nor user name or even how long they have been regged on the forum.

Not forgetting of course i actually pay the forum just to be able to give forum discount Confused so the forum or its members always win hands down from what i pay to be here.

I just try and do my job with the best customer service as i can. Sometimes i fail but most of the time not , thats business and i do my best to please all so i can live happly ever after and have a pint once in a while. if a customer has a problem i deal with it the best i can as i always have.

Otherwise id get, you sold me a box for 645 and now i see it on the forum for 499 i want a refund its not fare, so i dont do that and i offer the discount from day one. just as i do at Landrover Shows.

Looking now at very recent customer sale dates and forum registration dates i made the correct choice to give the forum price, he was as i already accounted for a member so was entitled to the discount just as the rest are.

The second is a

Defender MY2009 Santorina Black with a dark graphite interior and gray cloth/leather seats and AC the rest im not posting for warranty reasons and customer confidentiality.

Fairytale ending for him then! Still waiting for mine! Fingers and everything else crossed! Would have thought that Autologic being such a 'large entity' would have sorted out their issues, or maybe have sought a resolution from yourself Pete as you don't appear to be suffering any?
Would love to try yours on a 'trial basis' Pete especially as Autologic have offered me a full refund if I'm not prepared to wait for them to sort it out! Other people have a lot of confidence in your product! You gonna let me try it? May get me the fairytale ending I seek and you another £499 in your account! Further positive advertising guaranteed if it works and I'm happy with it! I have absolutely nothing to lose and you could have another satisfactory customer?

Hugely tempted to buy a BAS remap - the only thing saving me £499 at the moment is my Mac's incompatibility, that said another thread is tempting me towards a netbook for navigational needs ... Peter

Download VM Ware Fusion and have a full Windows PC on your Mac - only difference is that it will be more reliable than running PC hardware Wink I run Mac and had no issues running Pete's desktop software...

Also let me backup others compliments of Pete's customer service. I am Sydney based and have had some read issues. Pete stayed up half the night trying to help me. I seem to have a wiring fault or something, which the dealer will be looking at, but Pete has been great to deal with. Thanks Pete Very Happy Gavster
