So the boosts weren't quite doing it for me with the new styling and had a hard decision come my way.

I want to stay LR and i got it down to two options -

1. SVX dual alloys - I think these are the smartest looking alloys
2. Sawtooths - I think these are coolest looking alloys

so in the end it come down tot he Sawtooths Smile

Great looking truck to start with @Cake, but so much better now... Thumbs Up

I did wonder how long it would be before you sorted the wheels when I started reading, turns out not long at all... Cool

And I echo your comments about Chris @ CSK, a top bloke and also a member here ( @Killer90 )... Wink

Only one obvious thing left to do... Whistle

Powder coat those grey side steps in Black... Mr. Green
 Rog... Mr. Green
The GREEN One...

Thanks - Not quite in your league yet, an absolutely stunning bespoke defender and done so very tastefully Wink

I was waiting to see how yours hold out on your build thread before I get them done Wink

Yes number one was security and secondly was wheels, which unfortunately sat around a little while before being fitted.

It will be at CSK in the new year for at least an underseal; now perhaps powder coated side steps and who knows what else Very Happy

Also as you have used Urban Truck extensively I can also say that their customer is excellent, despite calling to confirm only small number of things not equating to volumes of money they ensured everything was answered correctly and made to feel welcome. needless to say it all got ordered Smile

Powder coating the alloy side step treads is a good idea, although probably easier to spray paint.

I cant see a rear step in your pic, I got a brand new one removed from my Landmark, lemme know if you are interested, i'm close to Beadles.

Spray paint won't be durable enough to be trodden on and left out the elements - hence powder coating, which should be durable to withstand normal usage. Mind you I bet the missus would wreck from day one!

Thank you for the step offer but I removed mine as obviously at three years old it would be rusty... But also I'm not a fan of how the standard step sits when not used; up or down.

For now if someone wants to rise in the back they can climb in on that rare occasion Wink

Also congratulations on the Defender!

Is it your first and also did you get it from Beadles Sidcup?

The Landmark is my third 90, the first one was stolen after three years and never recovered, the second one (a black 300TDI CSW) was purchased new in 1998 and only recently sold after I bought the Landmark.

Both the new ones were purchased at Beadles.

Good luck with your mods, its nice to hear from people that are proud of their Landy's Smile

Sorry to hear you lost one - something all of us worry about.

Hope you are enjoying the new one and keep it as long as your last.

Beadles are very good - also just got an email that they have opened in Southend!

Also i got a ride in this to the station, its only a shot trip but how can you not!

The attention to detail is unreal and the actual drive of it is so much smoother! If you want to know what a map feels like despite everything here that should undo a smother ride, jump in this!

Christ Cake, you weren't joking when you said you'd already spent a lot on your 90. Quite a transformation... Rolling with laughter

Seriously though, what are those hoops like to ride on? They're growing on me, but afraid it would ruin the (exemplary) handing.... Whistle Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....
