Well, more good news, the other sill was pretty good too. I guess I caught them in time. So, to celebrate I thought I would treat her to some DRLs. So drilled the holes for the outbound 4x4 ones. I will probably have these holes in my bumper for another 12 months before I fit the lights Rolling Eyes

I test fitted the yrm replacement parts at the weekend. All looked good so all the components are now off being blasted, galvanised and powder coated

I am really missing driving it now though. Realistically it will probably be another month to six weeks off the road Big Cry 2002 110 td5

I collected my parts today, and they have done a top job. And on top of that, they haven't lost any of them!

They just need a good sand to get the drips off and to smooth all the visible surfaces and then a swill with a bit of 'T wash'. They will then be ready for the powder coaters on Monday.

Oh, and all the threads re tapping to clear them of Galv. Big Cry 2002 110 td5

It's all starting to come back together now. I can see why Land Rover don't galvanise these parts though. There has been an awful lot of prep work to get a good paint finish. Also, re tapping the captivated nut seat belt mounts was a little unnerving. Fitting the floor went well although I am not convinced powder coating the aluminium was a good idea. It seems to chip very easily. I guess time will tell and if it looks a mess I can always strip and repaint it. 2002 110 td5

Dinitrol on the chassis. There are a lot of nooks and crannies under there that are impossible to reach with the floor in. Especially on the offside where the fuel and brake lines harbour crud. Metal treat in Bradford did the galvanising. £113 all together. It cost more to have all the parts sand blasted than it did to have them galvanised. They have a very good finish but will still need a good flatting before powder coating as I am considering gloss rather than satin black. 2002 110 td5

The other sill is now on and the floor back in. Thankfully, the pop rivet holes line up perfectly behind the rear door. It is nice to look at all the stainless steel fixings that have replaced the rusted items....they have been bugging me ever since I bought it, even though they are hidden under carpet!

Nearly there Thumbs Up did you put some plastic washers under the stainless fixings to the floor to stop the dreaded dissimilar metal corrosion? Ray

No. I gave them a good coating of Duralac though. You can just see it in the photos (it is the yellow stuff). If it starts to look as though it is corroding then I may consider this, although I probably won't own it then! There was very little corrosion there in the first place to be honest.

All the brackets underneath have got foam gaskets between them and the body work. Thumbs Up 2002 110 td5

Looking good, few bits I might have to do on mine. Definitely will follow your example going down the galvanized route.
Yours is certainly a well thought out 110 Thumbs Up

I had some floor bolts and clips left over so decided to make myself some mud guards to protect the DRLs
