After a drive yesterday, I am not 100% convinced on the extra height the rails give.
I am not sure if its something I need time to get used to or not. If I am sticking with the extra height then I need to alter the cubby box height as now its too low. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I need to give the rails a bit longer to see if I can get comfortable with them. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Hi John, I went for a Hella in the end as I could not get a Denso in time and Hella is supposed to be a decent 'safe' brand. Apparently made in Germany. What could go wrong eh?!
Tell you what though, the TD5 does not like 18v |

Should go faster thoughβ¦
When I upgraded by cordless drill from a 12v model to an 18v model it was an improvement all round - you just need to give it time⦠|

Here's what's been done .... "Pickaxe" getting some TLC & modz! π What started out as a treat for her after Mudmaster evolved into some other jobs and modz π Iv fitted the new following parts ... β Allisport air intake pipe. β Water pump β Allisport exhaust manifold & stud kit. β Full set of Roose blue silicone hoses. β Allisport header tank β Allisport rocker cover & header tank caps. β New belt tensioner. β Clean & Intercooler. β Change & modify airbox to a twin inlet. Also removed the cyclone. β Fabricate another air inlet intake for n/s wing. β Fit and run air intake on n/s. β Weld on brackets then fit S/S Bush wire kit β Oil & filter / service plus new antifreeze etc. Click image to enlarge ββββββ "ππππ ππ πππ πππ, ππππ πππ πππππ πππ!" ββββββ π€ |

Ha... Well all is back to where it should be. Picked up the replacement replacement alternator and Miffy is now being supplied with a consistent 14v +/-. Good for another 200k miles or so |
