This is an awesome thread. But I'm still confused on where to find the mystery wire on my 2013sw. Can anyone who did it let me know. I got more confused reading the 9 pages on info. Thx!

Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge any reason why I couldn't use this for dual functionality? Is from flatdog and would also provide usb charging at the rear. |

Power wise there is no reason, just piggy back it off the one feed. You'll just need to find somewhere to physically mount it

Sorry to pull up an old thread! I am looking to do this in my 2011 110 double cab pick up. Will this purple wire be there in mine? If so where??
I am looking to be able to power a small fridge and I also need somewhere to plug in a trickle charge solar panel, needs to be in a permanent live. Thanks in advance for any help |

Here’s mine. Twin 12v accessory sockets. Both running off the auxiliary battery. One is permanent live and the other ignition live.
Also completed today, ply lining panels wrapped with black trim velour. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Installed a rear power point in my 2011MY USW XS today but added a relay to ensure that power is turned off with the ignition.
A cool box left running overnight would leave me stranded with a flat battery, and I know that it probably would happen There are lots of pics above of the power point. This is what I found behind the speaker Click image to enlarge Purple wire runs to the power in relay terminal, + terminal of power point is fed from the power out relay terminal. Click image to enlarge Earth for both the relay and power point taken from black wire attached to L shaped connector with the purple wire. The ignition live feed to trigger the relay was picked up from this connector for the rear wash wipe. Click image to enlarge |
