If it helps with your rear window winder, take it off and turn it down 90 degrees, should stop it coming open!

If the door can swing open to 90 degrees and the wind (or kid) catches it, it goes too far and the forward edge puts a crease in the pillar. Don't ask me how I know  Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

Thats it! Theres a little clip behind the handle that you need to flick out slightly to release the handle. A thin flat screwdriver should do it. Sorry, thats possibly the worst description possible!! |

Rather like something 4 or 5 o'clock, to let mother earth keep the winder down and your window up. Apparently that got forgotten with electric windows. Behind the winder is a spring/splint, however you call that in English, which holds it on that axle, take it out and you can take the winder off. BR Oskar |

Get ready to catch the clip though. A knackered narrow flat bladed screwdriver or strip of steel with the end of the bent at a right angle is handy to hook behind the loop end of the clip.
Another tip for someone to rehash and be considered an expert  Steve.

I tried repositioning them but it didn't help so I used a more "robust" approach:
Click image to enlarge As I bought decent black elastic cord and hid the knot inside the hollow of the handle, it actually isn't that obvious

Where did you buy those brackets from please? Brilliant solution. I take it the bracket and arm are the kit to replace the original LR ones? |

As well as that Entreq solution (very elegant but 60 something quid) you can also just add a small extension (moves the pivot 26mm)
