The lift rod thing is interesting - an engineer was quoted as saying what tyre would fit with a 1” lift.

They’ve just done a 4” lift on an L405 - 35” tyres look huge on it, shows the Defender’s arches are much bigger when you look at the Lucky8 one on 35”s.

... yet the “real” Defender only ever had a centre one, and the new G is about as likely to be seen in a field as Hamilton’s F1 car is.

Surely it cannot be beyond LR to do a re-engineer of the IPace into a full on off road vehicle

The new MLA platform (coming in next year’s Range Rover) is engineered for all-electric anyway.
