| It does not really tackle the root cause of the problem; the O-ring works its way into the aluminium housing over time. This is why this bore is lined with steel. |

IME, once the case is worn, no type of sealant would ever give a satisfactory result, the only option that actually worked for me was to use a sleeve like those from Ashcroft.

| I did that years ago and went for a new barrel with two new locks for the doors and two new keys. There are sets to perform that, try LR069891. |
