Ignition Barrel - re keying!
I need to sort out my ignition barrel and want to either repair the existing or buy new barrel and re key to existing key. I don’t want 2 keys for ignition and doors.

Done some reading up on Google! Has anyone had any experience and done this?

I did that years ago and went for a new barrel with two new locks for the doors and two new keys. There are sets to perform that, try LR069891.

Thanks, main LR dealer parts have recommended Longton Locks in Stoke, going tomorrow and will do the barrel while I wait for £85 inc vat.

Ignition barrel is out (multi tool to the rescue) and will order new ignition clamp, bolts and while it’s all out a new switch.

All repaired! Need to order new clamp.

What’s the oval piece in the middle which goes in and out with the key please?

Make sure it operates freely before fully tightening the clamp - you can use new sheer bolts or a plain hex bolt

Thanks for the heads up. I have noticed there is a small dome head pozi screw missing on this. Does anyone know what size it is for a replacement
