Hi All

I have just had a new timing belt fitted to my Defender 300tdi.
Whilst doing so, the mechanic had a problem with the fuel pump.
It’s running again OK now, but I would like to get it prop ...

When I had a similar sounding problem the issue was a corroded poor earth wire connection to the starter motor - a quick thing to check and fix, or rule out…good luck.

Depends on how loose it is.
