The transfer box on the Puma is already nose up, so front output is a bit higher than the rear. Doing it on an incline would help loosing less oil, nut be sure you are working safe.

From what I remember you have no option, there is insufficient clearance (at least on a 110) between the transfer box ...

Do you have any fault codes?

Regarding fuel on the low pressure side, there is a schrader valve, normally covered by a green cap. Try pressing the valve and see if fuel is coming out.

To me looks normal gear backlash.

Have you checked the drive members? Maybe you should even consider going for one piece halfshafts?

Replaced upper and lower shock rear absorber bushes with new ones as the MOT man advised they had play. Hopefully new ones will do the trick.
