Needing help with high level brake light.
Got a minor on recent MOT for high level brake light. Seen a few mention running a wire from back door to light to bypass shonky joints on rear window heater. I’m after a walk through on how to do this. Had a search and can’t find anything - anyone got a step by step idiots guide (for clarity I’m the idiot) Thanks for any advice!

There are 3 connections on the glass.

One side there are 2 spade connections. One is the heater 12V supply and one is the 3rd brake light 12V supply.
On the other side there is one spade connection which is the ground.

On the glass you can follow the 'element' that is going all the way up to the 3rd brake light (should the the outer one. Just bridge a wire from the spade connection to the same side of the brake light. Do the same for the ground.

You can push the wire behind the rubber seal to make it more tidy. Hope this helps. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
