I’d echo that! One of the best looking set ups I’ve ever seen. Nice work!

I've followed this build from the beginning and was very impressed with the end product, yesterday i saw the vehicle in the flesh. WOW! If i had to imagine my ideal 110 camper it wouldn't be as good as this, there are quite a few things i hadn't thought of. Everywhere you look there are great ideas all perfectly executed and the standard of workmanship is 110%. Russel told me the final build cost and i could see every penny of it, it's one of the best home builds i've seen. You should be very proud of your efforts Russel, it's a brilliant job.

Many thanks indeed for your kind words, very much appreciated!
It was great to meet and chat to you both yesterday at the Tuff-Trek open day.
Wish I had more time with people but the day went so fast with a constant flow of people to talk to!
I’m sure if you decide to go down the 110 route again you’ll make the perfect camper Thumbs Up
Look forward to the pics Very Happy 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper

The most recent modification I’ve done is the rear step.
We like the height of the standard folding rear step but it’s not the biggest and sometimes we miss it when getting out the rear.
Researched a lot but didn’t find anything suitable so made my own.
Removed the tow bar and replaced with a recovery point (might change the recovery point for something that doesn’t stick out as far)
I bought another genuine LR rear step, swapped the spring mechanism over to the r/h side arm as it fouled on the diesel tank and bolted it up on the chassis.

Then folded some 3mm ali plate to form a bridge across the two steps making one large one.
Sprayed in Raptor for a textured grippy finish.

We’re really happy with the way it turned out, no more guessing where to put your foot and it still folds up out the way when needed! 1997 Ex-MOD 110, Pop Top Camper

The camper has been in hibernation over winter but looking forward to a two week trip to Scotland in May.

I got these badges made by roverplates on Instagram back in December and I’m really happy with how they worked out.
The Raven used to be large stickers on the doors but wanted something smaller and then added the RAF reg number.

Yes indeed!

In fact, there is an American lady on Instagram and YouTube @roamingreckless who has bought and imported the sister vehicle to mine, literally one number difference on the Special Vehicles build plate and has called hers Poe!

This is the RAF emblem the Raven is from and who used the Defender when it was in the RAF…

Hi Russel
I’m truly impressed with the build and all the modifications you have made - looks fabulous !
Lots of ways to convert a landrover and we all have our priorities... your covers just about all of them to a high standard.

I would like to fit some water and fuel to the side of our 110 and like the water canister holder you have on yours .. can you let me know where you got it from ?

Hi there, many thanks indeed, appreciated Thumbs Up

The jerry can holders are these ones https://www.jerrycans.co.uk/product/20-lit...m-edition/

If I’m ever feeling flush I’d probably swap them out for the GMB ones but there’s a big price difference!
