Girling brake master cyl...
Wasn't sure where to put this....

On my penman trailer, it uses a girling .75 master cylinder with the plastic reservoir on top. All fairly standard stuff.

My master cyl was missing, so I've got another new one. I also got the brske mod kit which includes a new plastic reservoir.

Simple so far; but the fitting instructions for the modification kit, says to "remove the old reservoir and re-use the fixings/washers/spacer etc"

I guess it's a kind of bolt with a hole through the centre... however mine was missing, so I'm trying to locate this bolt/spacer etc. By the looks of it, it's just standard brake stuff, but googling "Girling .75 reservoir fixings" etc and umpteen combinations of words, I can't find any part numbers.

Anyone gen'd up on brake parts who know where I should look?

Thanks

Could be worth a call to Past parts in Bury St Edmunds, as they have a wealth of knowledge.

Thanks, I've already got all the manuals for the trailer and the parts I'm after aren't shown

If you look at chap 2-2-3 page 4 or 6 (same diagram on both) it's the fittings to hold together parts 29 & 24 that I'm after.

Did you manage to locate the missing fixings and washers etc ? Always handy to know what they are if I ever need some for my penman.
Weird how they are not labelled on the diagrams or lists given the huge detail they go into on everything else

Yes I bought a generic 0.75" cylinder off of ebay.

with htb2's advice I contacted past parts. They were most useful, had the reservoir cap and the bolt thing in stock (cap was £20 mind! although I knew they were expensive)

The bolt and rubber seal kit was about £6

Just got to fit it now, and get a new goodrich hose made up.

I also bought a replecement (from somewhere else) plug to fit the indicator light. Looks like an econoseal but better (made by durite), I'll post all the part numbers up later.

Was also working at a site today, and the chap had a Mk3 sankey. which had the rare spare wheel carrier on it. So I took plenty of photos and got every dimension off of it; Think I'll be knocking one up for the penman.
