With the main units pretty much finish I’ve done the final seat / work top out of bamboo which is quite hard wearing by all accounts.

So, looked on the forum for reversing cameras & was pointed in the right direction by Wyvern of this parish. Amazon £65.00 ish & covers front / rear cameras inc dash cam.

Decided to put a switch in which is much neater than the cigarette socket. Also had to position the camera so it missed the heater element in the rear window hence the bit of routed bamboo. Switches by Mudstuff by the way. The mirror is touch screen so you can pan up & down to get the angles just right.

Cheers, it’s great for the money & helps not seeing the rear door grill & spare!

Timcat and DB950....

How’s you both getting on with this mirror cam. It has very high recommendations from its users and seems tidy and clear in both front and back modes.
Iv just put an order into Amazon. Can I ask if I can plug in my existing Front and rear recording cams but more importantly I don’t have a rear view mirror so can I mount it on dash or windscreen?

Cheers

Keith

Another question, does the new mirror/screen interfere with the sun visors? Do they hit it when dropping them down?

Hi, only received mine today and it will be a while before I get round to fitting it.
The front camera is built in so don’t think you could use yours. You might be able to use your existing rear camera if the connection is the same (or get a conversion lead)
It is held on to the mirror with rubber bands but you may be able to devise a mount of some kind.
Some pictures to show plugs and mount...

Thanks DB.
Arriving tomorrow. Don’t see why I can’t use my hard wired BlackVue rear camera and a dash mount iPhone holder for the front mirror screen.

I’ll keep you updated.

Hello Keith, so far so good. Nice & clear, transforms the view from the rear view mirror. In our case all I could see was the mollie pouches strapped onto the rear door grill partly obscured by the spare.

With this system it gives a true rear view for reversing & driving.
