Fronts are Land Rover so pop off as normal. Rear are recaro factory but you just turn some threaded studs down that fit into the seat base frame so they can lift out too. Andy

Thanks Pickles, made a start this evening on the cubby setup. I am using the gear lever this time and not the control box but not a fan of the chrome trim so carefully dismantled the assembly. Anyone any good methods to paint these chrome plated plastic pieces? Probably just going Matt or satin black from a can.

I'd start with 1000 grit wet. Any more coarse and you risk burring up the plastic.
The chrome layer will be pretty thin so you should be able to sand through it pretty easily, then just paint as normal with plastic primer and paint  2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Thinking of just doing something simple like the Twisted cubby with 2 cup holders, also like the idea of the plate with the gear positions. Anyone suggest someone that could machine an alloy plate like this if I drew up the CAD?

I imagine anyone with a CNC mill could do you something. Try the guys at Retro Power though, I imagine they will be able to sort it or point you in the right direction. https://retropower.co.uk/ |

Fallon plates are good, had a few plates off them from LRO and will do custom. Otherwise I would have thought any decent engraver could do it. James
