 I just learnt to hear the sound that signalled impeding trouser slosh and back off the pump accordingly to let it settle. I think you are better off have the tube pulled up if you have one. | ||

 Filling at standard fuel pumps jst The first time it happened Nevillerover I got caught by the splash  I can fill it slowly but you know your self when you are in a hurry and you hop out in good cloths, thats when I will forget about it and end up wearing Eau De Diesel | ||

 maybe hold nozzle at different angle , sometimes if nozzle pointing upwards in the filler neck it blocks the breather outlet in the neck or the flow of diesel pushes down breather outlet causing blow back | ||
