Hi Dave, what's it like for ease of fitment etc as some makes are apparently a b***er to fit. Cogito ergo sum

Dead easy Paul. first time was a bit fiddly [only seconds though] but once 'sussed' its straight on and off in a moment.

The lock is a C shape, just drop plate on pedal area with C shape between clutch and brake pedal, then slide it slightly right over the brake pedal and lock ... simples Thumbs Up Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

Hi

Considering getting a pedal lock, do you have a picture of the rear of the shire version, looked at ard case but like people said you can still cut pedals & drive on stalks, ordered a X defend steering barrel lock as well, looks good quality but not had chance to fit it as yet.

Better but no sides. Looks more of a deterrent maybe.

Perhaps hardened steel or tungsten pedal stalks are needed (for all vehicles). Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

I'm waiting for x-eng to release their variant

the pedal lock jobbie is ok, but like other posts state you would not want that flying around your truck in an accident, even if you have tried to secure it.

I contacted X-Eng and they told me there were not going to produce a gear lever lock for the Puma, as apparently you can just pull the gear lever from the top of the box?

Makes a change from them snapping off like they do in 'series' motors I suppose. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Strange (or maybe not) the delay in Puma pedal lockers. I saw from their web site that they are OOS of land anchors too.

Perhaps they are having issues with suppl/y/iers or raw materials. Confused Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Those with X-eng pedal locks, do you have to do away with the rubber floor mat?

yes.

And no...

You could cut it to size, or replace it with something (I am thinking of a thin piece of rubber chequerplate on the inside).

I have, however, seen someone glue the original mat to the lock. A bit Heath Robinson, but seemed to work.

Thanks. I guess this would mean everytime you lift the plate, any muck would get tipped behind the pedals?

I have the Adrennalin lock on my 300tdi and I fit it everytime I park up. When driving it lives between the two front seats. It is a bit of a pain, as It means I cant have my cubby tray there. I have considered the X-eng pedal lock but wouldnt want to loose my rubber floor mat.
