Have you checked your turbo wastegate is freely moving?

You can click each injector with the nanocom, but I don't know if that would diagnose a failed injector. Also I would think you would see smoke unless it's not firing (misfire)
You say the vibrations were there at 30 mph, but think it's the engine. If it's the engine it would be a certain rpm or maybe certain load and rpm. Are you sure you have decisively excluded the drivetrain? |

Its defo not the turbo actuator, its a new turbo and know what that's like from previous problems. It move freely.
The Landy revs ok on the drive with no load. Will have a look at the injector loom once the rain stops, if it ever does. Could that cause an issue if the engine was under load and cause a misfire. Could the vibration be a misfire underlay. Acceleration is still great. With the prop shaft removed I still get the vibration. There isn't must left at the front in respect of drive train. Could a duff half shaft be the problem? The diff has no load being put trough it without the prop shaft connected so wouldn't have thought it was the diff? Very strange. Ah well.
So it wasn't the loom. Shame. Easy job but there you go. Took it out for another run and accelerates and drives fine on the flat but on hills it struggles. Think the judder is coming from the clutch. Will take it to the experts this week and see what they say. Thanks for all the advice. Tank |

Evening
So, turns out to be the DMF ! Who knew. The vibration has gotten worse and it became much easier to determine it was the flywheel giving up the ghost ! Oh well. Some work done that wasnt required Turns out running 180 - 195bhp with a standard flywheel only lasts 7-8 years, which isnt bad. The LOF clutch plate is still ok but the DMF has left the chat New LOF VNT EXTREMEspec kit with SMF and the rest of the bits ordered. Ordered on the Thursday and came today! Super fast service. Wish it could get fitted as fast. Not booked in until the 13th of November to have it done, oh well. Thanks again for all the advice. Really appreciated. |

FYI, I have the Single mass flywheel in storage waiting to be installed, prob next summer too lazy. yes cost savings is my main reason i bought it but be prepared for the best vibration you will ever have.
As you now learned with a faulty dual flywheel the significance of its dampening capabilities for the motor. wait until you instALL the single flywheel. I dont care personally vibration, if I wanted calm i would have bought a prius but dont expect the same drive you had before. And cracked flywheels is a td5 fault so not surprised, kind of common |

It's important to recognize that the clutch drive (friction) plate for a dual mass flywheel does not have the torsional springs, while the drive plate for a single mass flywheel does. You be getting a pretty rough ride if you were to just change the flywheel with a single mass. Who would not change the drive plate whilst in there, but you might be tempted to is you were going low budget
