1 door open should turn them all on .
the lights corrode on the terminals so drop them down and clean and refit and they should be fine |

Cheers, that's planned for tomorrow. Rear is especially awkward. As in female.

Consider adding CREE LED light strips over the doors and replace the dome festoon bulbs with an LED sheet.

Cheers. They don't need to be bright, just capable of switching on and off when they are supposed to. One flashes on when I go around a right hand bend. Suspect that the terminal inside the body is swing against the body. Wish there was no bloody delay though. Ah well, another Td5 thing I don't want.

It sounds like your door switches probably need cleaning. I'm pretty sure they are the same as on the 300TDi and the copper contacts are exposed to atmosphere are prone to gunking up and oxidising.
I had fairly good success in a small cheap ultrasonic cleaner. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green- Slowly Turning into Keswick Green - It's a keeper. Wide Track Sankey- In bits- Gone to a new home M0XQS |

The interior light can be switched through the AS10 (not sure when they started to introduce that, maybe Td5?). It has a feature where if you leave the door open, rather than drain the battery overnight it switches the light off after a certain period. The system is reset once you close the door, but obviously it's based on the signals it gets from the door switches. Soooo if the switches are bad you can get some funky behavior. Best to regularly check those switches en just get a bunch and change them out.
