Does anyone know how to activate air quality sensor with gap
I've been looking around the posts but still haven't seen a definite answer on if it's able to activate air quality with the GAP Tool G4 on the defender. I have a MY24 110 P400 X-dynamic SE.

It can't be activated, as the air quality sensor is a hardware piece that requires both the three-zone climate control and the Cabin Air Purification Plus package. All cars with three-zone climate come with the air quality sensor and Cabin Air Purification Plus. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar)

The programming side using GAP IID tool is easy. But you need some hardware. The first is a pollution sensor instructions below. You will also need the Ionizer.

https://www.lrdefender.org/pollution_sensor-715.html

AIR IONIZER

NOTE: RHD vehicle is shown, LHD vehicle is similar.

Control Components

The air ionizer technology helps the well being of both driver and passengers. The air ionizer improves the air quality within the passenger compartment and can help reduce allergens, viruses, bacteria and odours. The air ionizer uses nano-sized charged water particles which decompose harmful substances to cleanse the air. The air ionizer can be switched ON or OFF through the climate settings on the FCDIM.

The air ionizer is only connected to the left center face vent in the instrument panel.

The air ionizer is connected to a power supply and a ground connection. The air ionizer operates when an electrical signal is received from the HVAC control module.

Thank you. I was hoping it would be a simple activation. It looks like I won't be doing all that just to have it. I appreciate the info though!

My vehicle is equipped with the the three zone system and the ionizer. I change the CCF for PM2.5 with the gap but can't view the particulate matter levels. Do you know of another setting that controls this?

How hard would it be to fit them. I thought the clearsight retrofit was beyond me but it was a piece of cake!

Not trying to necro this thread but here's what I've been able to figure out just now.
It's pretty easy to swap out the sensor, you can take the bottom shield off and snake your hand underneath and take it out(if you have small hands) For reference I have the ionizer 3 climate control and advance filtration.

While the AQI will display it will not read the values and actually give you an AQI numbers. I believe the sensor is suppose to be one that does everything. Ambient airpollution etc, as this is what the listing says for the dealer. That being said I have an early 2021 so it's possible they only had the temperature sensor. I will buy a new sensor and let you guys know what happens.

Disclaimer* enable the multican-752 w/o the sensor will take away your ability to manual hit purify. Sounds like it's suppose to do it automatically but without the values it won't turn itself on." Also I'm not sure the difference between the ionizer and the purifier and I was under the impression the purifier is just a recirculate on the cabin air filter.

Enable to:
1.Eucd-150
2. The ionizer one
3. Multican-752 " enhanced particulate filter and sensor, and soft button fitted (mine was fitted, w/o sensor)
4.AQI button or something - fitted (mine was not fitted)

hello, do not buy a new air quality sensor, it is not needed to display pm2.5 and co2, to have this function you must install two other new sensors, one inside the passenger compartment and one near the fuses in the engine compartment.
I have already done the tetrofit of the ionizer and pollution sensor, pm 2.5 filter, soon I will also install the two new sensors, in the meantime I will send you a couple of photographs.

Perfect!
Any chance you have the part numbers for the other two sensors?

I did take a quick look for the sensors, I don't have the additional two unfortunately, it didn't seem like I have loose connectors. I wonder if it's a different wire harness.

hello, these are the part numbers, LR
179197,LR174140,LR174153, LR174155, sensor and bracket, the advanced air quality system is only available on defender from 2024, the wiring is not present, however it is quite simple to make if you have skills, you also need to buy the two sensor connectors with the relative pins, the electrical wires of the appropriate colors, connect according to the original wiring diagram and do the programming with gap. if you want to do the work, write to private and I will forward you the wiring diagrams for the retrofit.
