Sir Jim will lose interest. He has a quarter of a football team to put his efforts into now.

^^^ So a mix of three totally different vehicles designed for totally different functions aimed at totally different market sectors reviewed by a periodical which has relevance only to one.

What could possibly be flawed with that ?! Laughing

I suppose it may have some entertainment value.

Blackwolf you seem to be under the miscomprehension that these vehicles are all for different purposes. I am afraid you are entirely wrong, all of them are excellent at the school run or shopping trips or towing the family caravan/boat/jetski and more importantly all of them add exactly 1" of length in bragging rights Rolling Eyes

Of course, my bad innit (as I am led to understand a young person might say)! Sad

They are of course all school delivery devices. I understand that a super-tough SUV is now essential to protect little Quentin and Verruca from all the dangerous parents in super-tough SUVs!

It's hard to avoid the conclusion that something's gone a bit haywire somewhere. :sigh: Laughing

I suppose the Ranger and Defender offer full ‘commercial’ (according to HMRC) versions

Well I am not sure what to do with Quentin but thankfully Verruca can be dealt with by Bazooka... Rolling Eyes

As for where did we go wrong... Well I have two words for you... "Luxury" and "Performance"... The destroyers of practicality... Rolling Eyes Some might even go as far as to say they are also responsible for the continued destruction of the planet. Yikes...! Shocked

I enjoyed this video, the negatives and positives. But nice as the guy let his mate blow out a tyre on 'beer o'clock hill'.

I've seen two in Bath these last few days. Spoke to one owner that came from a Puma 110. He loves the Grenadier as the modern incarnation of the original Defender. He mentioned the steering but said you soon get used to it. Other than that he was really impressed and pleased with his purchase. Looking at the state of it, he was using it for what it was designed for. Thumbs Up

Thought they had great road presence and looked really cool. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

Looks just like the real thing Whistle
If the two models were currently available to buy i.e. the Ineos Grenadier and the (old) Defender, I wonder which they would have gone for? 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
1992 110 200tdi csw -Zikali
2008 110 2.4 tdci csw-Zulu
2011 110 2.4 tdci csw-Masai

That's what the Grenadier was made to do. lt looks right at home there and the livery actually enhances the vehicle.

The new Defender would obviously work in this capacity, but the Grenadier is just so fit for purpose, there's really no other vehicle for the job.

And l say this as the owner of a new Defender
