Hello Jim,
I am facing the same issue with mine and I am not sure if this was always the case. I had to swap the engine years ago and recognized this shut off behaviour some time ago. My mechanic, I sent him a video, is not sure, if this is normal, in another forum the people suggested to check the injectors which could drip. To check this I need to take them out and let them check at a Bosch Service. I haven't done that. I will keep you updated, would be great if you could do the same. Cheers Tobias |

Hi Tobias
So I'm not going mad then ![]() The vehicle is well maintained and serviced regularly. It runs like a dream and he always uses premium diesel. Have you had any fault codes thrown up? What about adding some injector cleaner to clean the injectors? Jim |

The 2.2 should close the throttle body the instant you turn the ignition off. This is turn creates a vacuum at intake, and not allow the piston to create good compression. The result is a smooth switch off of the engine which might take a bit longer to stop. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
