Chile 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Chawton White
anyone knows what kills the VCV? And in particular the one on the 2.4 engine. Puma 110" SW

Water in fuel certainly kills the 2.4 VCV, and I think low quality fuel also reduces it’s lifespan. So regular fuel filter draining and potentially more regular fuel filter replacement, with gen LR fuel filter, should help. Plus be careful where you buy your diesel.

Water, dirt, coming from Britpart, or being a counterfeit part seem to be the main killers.
