Constant hum from 50mph upwards
Right then, TD5 (130) with standard gearing and no lift.

when speed approaches 50mph get a very loud hum starting, appearing to come from the front of the vehicle. Gets louder up to 60, below 45mph all is normal.

Taking the vehicle out of gear and coasting downhill has no effect so it is directly related to roadspeed and not changing under load.

Anyone else had this before I start swapping front axle bits out?

Tyres? Significant damage to tread or sidewall even if holding pressure

Drain the front differential and strain the oil that comes out
