I have the G4 since a couple of weeks now and used it for my New Defender. There were some issues that generated the “Upload failed” error on my car on every CCF edit, but after several emails, logs and firmware updates the team at GAP Diagnostics made it work and I could successfully activate ACC and other stuff I tried and failed before. So update your tool again if you experience problems and try again.

My G4 is supposed to arrive today, £58 custom charge, which I feel is wrong as it’s a replacement unit, the custom charge was already paid on the previous unit. I feel gap should of labelled them as a warranty replacement

I agreed, I wasnt expecting a charge on this item as it was labelled as a warranty replacement on the way out.

I received mine in Romania and it was marked as warranty replacement by GAP and paid no customs fees.

£65 charge for me too. Feels like a scam to be honest. Have us mark it as low value on the outbound leg so they don’t pay any tax and then hit us with it on the way back.

I received my G4 last night. Wow, it works perfectly. Thank you GAP team.
I started small and activated ATPC and TR Auto on a L462. I did get the brake error, but after a restart, all works perfectly. I will try park assist soon.

I've activated park assist with G4, but the start button is grayed out... Crying or Very sad

Mine is 110 X MY23.5 for Japan.

Why on earth would we do that? Where would WE be profiting? We don't see the money customs charges you. I am really sorry you have such little faith in us. Neutral

I will check to see what we do with outbound paperwork and what can be done. Maybe the customs charges can be corrected. Generally all outbound paperwork in Canada is filled out the same way. And others in the EU have not hat to pay import taxes a second time (maybe its all those new customs officers that needed to be hired after the stupidity known as Brexit? Whistle ).

I will report back as soon as I find something.

Why is the website still selling the G3 as the latest model for landrover? Wouldn't be happy if I bought that when the G4 is already shipping.

ATPC Multican-476 change to HDC and LSPC

TR Auto Multican- 754 change to Fitted.

I now have Automated parking working. Wow.


Has anybody found any settings for steering assist? I know the RR sports have it, so I assume it can be activated.
