Thumbs Up

So there's 239kg of the missing 500kg, where's the rest gone?

Towing capacity is interesting - the UK plug-in Defender can tow 3000kg, but the same powertrain in the Range Rover is limited to 2500kg (with 50kg lower nose weight) - but for Australia, every P400e can tow 3500kg like the rest (presumably because heavier trailers there have to have separate brake controllers).

I was checking the USA configurator last night and found you can no longer order the full leather seat package in the Defender S model. The 2020.5 model P300 I have on order is supposed to have that option when it gets delivered in the next three weeks. Still no chance of a diesel over here for the foreseeable future.

I had to basically build an HSE with the four cylinder gasoline engine since the HSE over here is solely offered on the P400.

I have also been struggling to get any kind of info out of Front a Runner despite them having originally advertised the rack back in January! In fact my LR dealer told me that when their first Defenders arrived at the beginning of
July Front Runner had spent a day there measuring everything up so I think it may be a while still.

Regarding the OEM rails they told me that “looks like it won’t require the OEM rails” but I would take that with a healthy pinch of salt.

Thumbs Up likewise, i actually gave up and forked out for the expedition rack from LR,
something i thought i would avoid cost wise, got to impatient, and want to get the vehicle
ready for its lap of OZ as quickly as possible when it rocks up.. If Frontrunner could have given
me at least some approximations then i may have held off until it was available.. but got nothing back

Looks like these guys got hold of one:

Looks like they are only held on by a racket strap band around the tyre circumference - can’t see them last long if you park your pride and joy up on a city street. One swipe of a Stanley knife and they will off to sell on eBay in the blink if an eye. Also no good if you use the spare wheel protector. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

Matzker also have some other interesting goodies:

D200 gets an extra 35hp and 50nm ~ €1,795
D240 gets an extra 25ps and 50nm ~ €1,795

With the Electronic Handling and Offroad Kit, you can take advantage of the not fully exploited possibilities of a height-adjustable air suspension. The New Defender can thus be lowered by 28 mm on the road and raised by an additional 30 mm off-road.

Electronic Handling and Offroad Kit ~ €1,485

I like how they have handed the vertical soft keys on the central display to suit LHD and RHD markets. Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come

He started well, apparently using the same script we have heard earlier from Gerry, but he then goes completely off piste with "form is still secondary to function" ~ that wasn't one of Gerry's lines?
