NAS lights are so much brighter than the standard ones, they have 2ΒΌ times the surface area of the standard ones. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Well I can finally put this idea back were it belongs, in the rubbish file. I managed to find an old /cracked plinth, cut off the studs and lined up the hole in the body for the stop/tail light with the plinth and as suggested the plinth over hangs the body and S.H.M.B.O. has said NO to cutting into the body to open up the hole. So its staying with standard lights I may have a look round to see if I can get LED bulbs to replace the filament bulbs . Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Hi Richard,
After great advice from LRA on here I bought a set of these (link below), LED bulbs that directly replace the standard Stop/Brake tail lights on my Puma. They look spot on, orignial looks on the outside and much better lights on the inner. I also got the ones for the front side lights too and again, much better. https://www.classiccarleds.co.uk/products/...tive-earth Hope that might help. |

ChrisDefender.
Thanks for the link, I'll check with them to see if they do replacements for indicators and front side lights. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Well I thought that I had finished with the subject of replacing the original set up with LED's and decided to stick with filament bulbs well I was wrong.
Yesterday it got round to the daily opening of boxes that were delivered 3 days ago, we don't open anything unless it has been in isolation for 3 days,. I came across a box with my delivery details and upon opening it found a set of 73mm LED replacement lights, figuring I must has somehow forgotten I had ordered them I checked my emails for confirmation of the order= nothing, checked my online banking for something that looked familiar = nothing. then S.W.M.B.O. asked why I looked so puzzled and I told her expecting the usual "spending money again" only for her to smile say "oh good they have arrived needed a drink after that. Having fitted the easy one's ,side lights, what a difference, I now have the slightly tricky job of the indicators. Question After listening for the "click" of the relay I have come to the conclusion that me hearing is on its way out as I cannot pin point the indicator relay. I am right in thinking it's on the top roe and first one on the left? . Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

To put this to bed finally.
All finished with no drama's with the exception of one rear indicator not working and that was my fault in my excitement I hadn't made sure that the connectors clicked together, two minutes with the screwdriver and all was made good. Just have to sort out trailer confirmation flash when I get the caravan hooked up in the future. Don't make old people mad.
