Maybe, but it is now a warranty question as apparently it is not just a question of one which fits but one that meets the required specification...

Indeed, but my money would be on there being a suitable alternative out there (there aren't a huge number of oil filter makers). Most likely a Ford type given the engine's origins?
I take it the dealer is proposing swapping the housing as a warranty job? |

not so much warranty but a recall 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs
3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |

maybe not such a bad thing if you can actually find a filter!
the push&twist ones are Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Why did they start the oil change if the parts were not all there in stock?

I service 3-4 Transit 2.2/2.4 TDCI's every week .. all 2011/2012/2013 ... never seen one with a spin on filter cannister - they all have the same bowl and paper element as previous models

Yep, they are the current [and previous] filter element.

Do you mean by spin on filter the filter that could perhaps go on the top of the engine I know some 3.2 engines I had had a spiny filter like the old td5 in the rocker cover cup holder 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs
