He became a sir for being a big part in setting up comic relief that has made millions if not billions for charity.... But I do agree he's not very funny.

Richard Curtis was the main driving force in establishing Comic Relief in 1985 along with a young Lenny Henry. So why has not Curtis been knighted, all he has received is a CBE, of course Curtis unlike Henry is a very funny man who writes good comedy.
Of course another reason why he may not have been knighted could be because he is best mates with the champagne socialist Ben Elton who gives working class folk a bad name, so don’t get me started on that unfunny stand up comedic ‘bit political’ idiot. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Maybe he's not been knighted because he takes the mickey out of the royal family's ancestors in blackadder. Ray

Oh and I don't understand how Lenny Henry always manages to irritate the hell out of me Yawn

That is all [for now].

Regarding the John Lewis ad, I'm not entirely certain that it's appropriate to show an old man spying on a young child through a telescope. A sign of the times I know Question

I have always fancied watching a programme where the TV production involves various brands of paint Dulux, Crown etc. being painted on a square piece of wood and we could watch them dry and each week the slowest to dry is voted off. Ahh! Memories of exciting TV in the past, gone now is the pleasure of watching the Test Card for hours on end on a wet afternoon. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Blimey Steve I remember those films, there was one with brightly coloured injection moulded buckets being made with a narration, that takes me back to the sixties? Bow down I started with nothing and still have most of it left!
