Ok - back to being grumpy
![]() Drove down to Banbury today for some meetings then back home to the Borders this evening. The freakin M6 / M42 and the standard of driving is horrific ![]() Why, when I'm begining to think "I'm too close to the car in front" does some idiot fill it? I have to presume they consider the 2 second rule to be a challenge as to how many vehicles you can get between the chevrons ![]() Indicators should be a statement of intent - not a confirmation of action completed ![]() ![]() If I'm the last of a long line of traffic in the fast lane then chances are I too would like to be past but I'm intelligent enough to know I have to be patient. Driving within one metre of my bumper won't create space that isn't there no matter how impressive you think your Audi / Insignia is (by far the worst offenders on today's journey)!!!!!! Mirrors are not just for special occasions - keep an eye on them all the time FFS. I lost count of the amount of muppets who indicated as they looked in their mirror and saw a gap so it was safe to pull out!! Not realising I was actually travelling so much faster than them that had they looked a 2nd time the gap would have gone!!!!! I was sat in the queues for jnc 20 on the M6 and got across onto the central reservation for an ambulance trying to get through. The cars behind me didn't bother until the Ambulance had just about stopped and sounded his siren. Several cars in front were also caught napping. Mind you, I did manage to confuse everybody by always indicating, using my mirrors, keeping my distance and being courteous whilst all the while driving my wife's BMW ![]() |

Gravel, you were lucky to have gravel, we could only dream as kids to afford gravel! My dad worked twenty eight hours a day down the pit hoping he would get paid enough to afford gravel, but after working three weeks at a time without rest he would only have enough money to buy a spoonful of grit. In my early days, we had nightly air raids that made huge holes but, sadly, knocked down a lot of houses to create them.

People that win an auction on eBay then not pay for it, despite having days and multiple invoices as a reminder.
It's only £10 as good as all in for goodness sake, I could understand it if it was £100's of pounds. ![]() |

eBay just isn’t what it used to be, it’s now populated by rogues, thieves, people with sniper programs, people who copy other people’s adverts and to top it all it is now really expensive to advertise and sellers fees are getting ridiculous. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Very true.
I was only selling a few bits of this and that of which I don't require. Nothing of benefit to me financially to sell just thought, rather than waste brand new items someone could make use cheaper. Seems that isn't even worthwhile. ![]() It was only pair of Stihl ear Defenders, good ones brand new. Won the auction , said nothing, paid nothing and that's it. The guy's had three days... |
