we have heat control, in sync with the dial. I can knock just a whisker off the chill right around to cooking scones. Thumbs Up My Defender and travels

Hi Newhue,

Tried looking at your “My defender and travels” thread but the pictures don’t work, hope we’re not in another Photo Bucket scenario!

yep Chris spot on, what was free eventually turned out not to be once it got the numbers. Seems marketing doesn't pay for web sights or owners get greedy, not sure what happened really.
I thought about paying the money, but I also had the Censored with Defender around the same time and it all slid. Probably shouldn't have as I put a lot of work into those pages. Nowadays I just park the odd pics in the server space allowed by Defender2 or Aulro. If I were to pay I'd be happier to pay the owners of the web sights one use regularly and gets a lot more from than just housing pictures. My Defender and travels

These sites are a real problem, as you know there are quite a lot of threads on here affected by this, a great pity, your thread looks as if it was very informative (I’m always looking for ways of spending more money on my Defender).
Anyway, won’t hijack this thread any longer, just hope you’ve got your own back ups!

Peugeot - Citroen part nr.6448P6
Fiat part nr. 77363342

You can find them as cheap as 25 eur (depending which manufacturer). Land Rover "Original part " is made in Italy by Denso, at least on my D130 it was.

That's it, at last the buy price is starting to match the product quality.

Happy to report my alternative approach is going strong with heat control like never before. Thumbs Up My Defender and travels

Alternative heater bypass control valve
I’m wondering if this valve would also be a viable alternative to the current Oem one. Noting it would need hose adaption but seems to have a cable controlled valve mechanism so easier to integrate into current setup.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16mm-5-8-Heater...2279138616

Points to note, all connections are 16mm so would need a 16mm to 18mm hose adapter for one heater hose. But these are only circa £3 on line .its metal not plastic but has a wide operating temperature range. It’s used in taxis, classic and self buil car applications. Unsure of quality.
