Leaking front and Rear windscreens
Just driving out to lunch on Friday I noticed that i had air bubbles coming up on the inside of my windscreen at the bottom, they went on for 6 - 5 minutes, sadly letting in water then stopped. Also when washing the car today i saw that the rear screen around the very top was letting in water. With both these facts in mind, how easy is it to change the screen seals and is it much like the side windows as to how these are originally fitted?

The front screen suffers more than the back,but unless it's physically damaged (usually split on the corners) I'd try sealing it first,Captain Tolleys Creaping Crack Cure,or get something more heavy duty like tiger seal or sikaflex.
I've changed quite a few screens (not Defenders) using my (our) feet to push the old screen out (not recommended tho,lol), if your changing the rubber just cut the screen out.re-fitting is not difficult,use washing up liquid to lube the screen rubber and (a well lubed) strong cord,I used the inner core from a bit of 2-3 core electrical lead,which is perfect,altho everyone has the own preferences.

Dirt and grime collecting under the front windscreen seal is well documented, sealing externally will not cure this but will if damp seal the dampness in and you may eventually see corrosion spots/bubbles leeching from under the edge of the seal. There is only one decent cure, windscreen out, clean the area thoroughly and using sealant to seal the windscreen seal thoroughly. Follow the links below or do a search for any more info you may need.

I'd use this sealant under the rubber seal. Did mine last week and leak solved. Lift the edge of the rubber seal and squirt plenty in and wipe of excess.

Stays flexible so easy to clean off if the screen is changed later on as opposed to Tigerseal etc which is a nightmare to clean off.
