Rear door lock problems
When I close my LR defender Puma (2010) with the remote controle everything closes.
But when I open it with the remote controle I can't open the backdoor.
Inside on the lock you see the little black .... goes up when closing, but comes only half down when opening.

Anyone has the same problem, and maybe knows a solution to fix this?

This is a common problem apparently. I think it comes from too much end float on the white plastic pivot between the metal rod from the solenoid and the lock itself. I thought I'd fixed this by putting a bend in the rod from the lock. Immediately it was better, but it seemed to play up with me again at the weekend. Evil or Very Mad

Just sprayed wd40 in the slot where the black lever is and it's now working fine.😀

I had similar problem, found the white plastic jobbie was working its way out of the hole, so screwed in a chunky self tapping screw through the center of white jobbie to spread the retaining lugs. two years and no further problems with it.

THNX, this weekend I will have a closer look at it and see if I can find (and fix) anything.

I'll keep you informed, Harald

Thorougly cleaning and afterwards some Innotec Hogh-tef oil did the trick.
