If Land Rover made the 3.2 Ford Ranger engine an option I could turn a blind eye to any other issues.

The 2.2 makes towing hard work.

JE Engineering are advertising a 2.2 defender remap, 165bhp stage 1, 180bhp stage 2. Its in one of the land rover mags this month. Land Rover World or Monthly not sure which.

My 2.2 is a pleasure, Ive been driving Land rovers and other 4x4s for over 20 years. Only gripe is the notchy gear change when cold but I think all pumas are prone to this.
