I finally deleted and reinstalled it and got the 'new app' and it works fine.

They did it because they get better margins since it's mainly software.
D300 already has the beefier brakes, additional aux radiator, and perhaps other parts tuned for the hig ... |

Nice! One of the better practical upgrades IMHO

That 8 year extended warranty seems like a steal.... just the DRL halo/headlight combo is around 4k USD. |

They don't.
The side STEPS are for the ease of ingress and egress into the car. They weren't designed to stop other car doors from banging into your car. |
