I tried a load of things on mine... in the end a new clutch sorted it. Backlash not much less but the springs in the clutch actually work to absorb the shock so you dont hear or feel a big clunk on ta ...

Seized hinge. I tried wd40 etc but until I took it off, ground the clip off, knocked it apart and lubed the hinge it was seized solid when off the car.

I used a replacement drinks holder insert in the cubby box. Leaves a holder on the passenger side but has a cutout for 3 carling switches on the drivers side.

Bought it from one of the usual online ...

Have to add in at least a full days labour as well if paying someone to do it.

I swapped over just to get rid of the clunking and upgraded just to put the issue to bed. Cost is one thing... hassle ...

Yep.

I love my 90, love the character it has, great towing and offroad but it am under no illusions it's a piece of crap at the same time!

They had to deliberately engineer it to be this bad... ...

I had my 2015 done under warranty at 3yrs old and 35k miles. Replacement hanging in there...

Also only have the key and fob on the key ring... all other keys separate.

I'm not sure, by my 2016 case had a G as the last letter which was not listed on the Ashcroft site as a possibility, but they did not say anything when I spoke with them to order the new one.

I just fitted one to a 2015 puma but also did the clutch at the same time.

To be honest the backlash is less than it was ( the 2015/16s have a 2 pin centre diff too rather than the 4 pin used for a ...
