I'm pretty sure that the Salisbury axle in a series 3 has 24 splines, but must be shorter. I've swapped out the 3.54 110 Salisbury diffs for the series 4.7's in the past.

| I remember my 110 2.25 would do about 70, eventually, with 75 ish on a long down hill. Everything was standard and low mileage at around 45k. Perhaps check the valve timing? |
