I use a setting of 1.6mm for the timing, as opposed to the 1.54 or 1.4. I think, as it's a UK 300tdi and using the pins to set it it goes (or did before the FIP rebuild) to 1.4 ish, it had EGR. It see ...

So the moral of the story is: if you fit a LED battery bulb, fit a parallel resistor to mimic the original incandescent bulb. I think the looms do already gave a parallel resistor to handle the dead b ...

Front pads are the same 90 and 110. Rears are different, 90s have smaller pistons in different calipers.

Thanks; it seems like many (most!) places are rammed out with work. And that of course is a good sign in many ways, but it's a few weeks' wait. So just casting round to see if anywhere was able to tak ...

Thanks both for the swift reply. I'd agree about Marple Road Garage; it's where it's serviced and is very satisfactory, and the people really helpful but they are unable to take this on at the moment ...

Hi,

Can anyone make any recommendations (based on experience) for a good garage to replace the head gasket on a 2.2 Puma, in the Marple, New Mills or nearby area. Or for that matter anywhere to av ...

Whatever you get I'd recommend you get one fluorosil lined. It's in quite a warm spot and you may get some oil in the air. That'll make it soft and sqishy if not lined. ( From experience)

Maybe the same issue but the brakes on mine (300tdi 90) were fine on gentle stops but an emergency stop needed a massive push and they lacked 'bite'. The power assistance seemed to be there but maxed ...

There is a plug behind the RH rear wheelarch mud cover, into which the towing wiring loom plugs. Hard to believe I know but I think it sounds like there may have been a bit of water ingress behind the ...
